BEWARE! Connections of the HVCC and Cuomo

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BEWARE:

I've been passed a 'rumor' that NY AG Cuomo's old 'buddy' is being set up to get the $24 MILLION Dollars to set up the IVPI. His name is Ed Davidson, former owner of AMCO AMC, where Cuomo was a member of the Advisory Board of Directors. This 'rumor' also told me that Ed Davidson was very instrumental in writing the HVCC.

Here's a story about him:
http://www.freetimes.com/stories/14/10/hustle-blow

Quote:
"Amco employee Tom Peterson was a little more helpful. He had overheard the fight and was there when Davidson yelled, "You'll never work in this town again. They'll find you floating face down in the river!" "

Quote:
"But he kept an offshoot of CRS that handled property appraisals. It seems that Appraisal Management Company was the crown jewel of CRS anyway. Most appraisal companies are the toadies of money-hungry lenders, sharing in the closing costs of gargantuan loans. Davidson's vision for Amco was to keep it truly independent, an appraisal company that could be trusted by both the prospective buyer and the lender. "

Quote:
"He loaded Amco's advisory board with power players. Jack Kemp, Bob Dole's running mate in the 1996 presidential election, is on Amco's board. So is former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Andrew Cuomo, currently running for Attorney General of New York. "

Quote:
"Chris Pakiz wasn't the only Davidson employee to complain of outrageous behavior. In 1997, a female CRS employee filed a sexual harassment lawsuit. Depositions from the suit speak of a tense, hostile atmosphere fostered by Davidson's outbursts. "I was doing my work and I guess Ed Davidson picked up a chair or a TV and threw it at the wall, right where I was sitting," she said in an interview with lawyers. "And it shook my whole desk."

She said Davidson would sometimes yell things like, "If you mother****ing c*cksuckers don't get some sales, I'll kill you," and, "I'm going to bite off your **** and sodomize your children." "

Is it true that Davidson at the least helped write the HVCC for Cuomo and is going to get the $24 MILLION to run the IVPI?

If so, the whole mortgage world is in trouble.

Wasn't it AMCO that set up with the AFL-CIO's Appraisal Guild and then killed it?

Wasn't it AMCO that 'hooked up' with the NCRC to help form CRAV? Maybe this is why David Berenbaum backed off from his former support of the Dodd/Crowley IVPI?

My defense weapons will be kept closer now that I've posted this.

Who's afraid of Ed Davidson? Is Cuomo also afraid?

Does Ed Davidson have any 'relationship' with anybody in First American Corp or with the AI-Ready / AIRD?

Lots of very important questions that MUST be answered, and very soon!

Pam

this is the first thing I'v read that makes the HVCC make any sense! I hope you have plenty of folks watching your back and gotta give you major cuddos for putting it out there. I only wish we had enough folks with strong enough conviction and ethics to stand up.

What really blows my mind about the "revised" HVCC is that a few items in the original that I liked, such as limiting a lender's AMC ownership, were completely removed or reduced to being worthless.

When all is said and done I think that there will be few surprises in who was involved in authoring this so called document. That is, if we ever know.

Pamela, are we as a profession just screwed? It seems that the forces aligned against us to look out for their own interests are too powerful for us to impact. Tell me the truth, what can we really do? I'm ready to make meaningful contributions where I can.
