Some organization has/is offering workshops, seminars, etc. A la mode, Inc. is sponsoring 25 such workshops (to be held in various US cities during February and March), the AI has a seminar, various CE companies have them, etc.

A la mode and I will also be doing a “webinar” in 3-parts for those that can’t get to a live workshop. I expect that many others will join in as April 1, 2009 draws nearer.

I started the 1004MC group here to get feedback and community support, share concerns, get answers, etc. I am planning a new series on The Appraisal Scoop (likely early March) that will be a “step by step” on the 1004MC. I believe by that time, more will be up to speed and we’ll have better direction.

The workshops are intended to get the word out, identify the issues, and get you thinking about how to approach this. As I am finishing up on the Excel template and closing as many loopholes in it as possible, I hope to have something that will be “effective and efficient”.

Many are already using Don Machholz’s free Excel Template for the 1004MC (available to anyone that joins the ICAAF appraiser’s forum on Yahoo Groups … its free). There will be various solutions offered over the coming weeks, so sit tight and join in.

It would be nice if some organization offered an online seminar on the 1004MC, and besides we could all get additionalCE hours.

I think there should be a fee increase. I will increase my fee to $50 for the 1004MC.

Thanks Patrick, for starting this maybe I can get a little better understanding on what they are looking for. I just did my first one and it took me about an hour to do it. Hope it gets better.

I do have a question, is anyone charging more because of this form. I thought it was my understanding you could not.
