On May 16th SCPAC is sponsoring a roundtable discussion of the role and impact of the HVCC and AMCs. Invited to participate are representatives of mortgage bankers, brokers, AMCs, appraisal board, national professional organizations and real estate professionals. This roundtable is open to all appraisers and other interested parties.
SCPAC was formed in 2006 by a group of diverse, like-minded appraisers who are dedicated to unification of the profession in the state in order to protect the public’s interest and preserve the professionalism and independence of appraisers, without regard to membership in any national organization.
The South Carolina Professional Appraisers Coalition is a non-profit organization that acts on legislative affairs affecting appraisers, promotes high standards in real estate appraisal, fosters amity among its members, provides a central source of information and provides opportunities for professional development.
Our mission is:
• To promote the interests of the real estate appraisal profession in the legislative, regulatory and judicial branches of South Carolina government.
• To protect the public interest by educating appraisers, consumers and decision-makers about real estate appraisal issues.
• To provide a centralized resource for information of interest to professional real estate appraisers and those affiliated with the profession.
• To create opportunities for SCPAC members to share their leadership, insight, and experience with all real estate appraisers and related organizations for the mutual benefit of the profession.
We cordially invite all to attend this roundtable discussion to be held on May 16, 2009 at:
