Bill - WOW! Thanks for starting the AWC 2000 Group! Folks like you and Patrick Egger have been BIG supporters of the Appraisers Water Cooler from the start and are a big reason for its rapid expansion.
Why Would I Join ANOTHER "Forum"? - That's a good question. As people suggest that their friends join AWC, I'm sure it will come up. If they're like me, they are already swamped with newsletters, RSS feeds, Blogs, Yahoo Group emails, and "Tweets" from Twitter's micro-blogging network. Right? Here a just a few tools to help you answer that question:
Social Networking: The AWC is a "social networking" media like Facebook . . .but tailored for Real Estate Appraisers. Members each get a personal page that allows them to promote their business, expertise, and services The ability to add photos, videos, favorite RSS feeds, etc are unmatched by any of other options available.
Free Appraisers Directory: I've commented on this before in the
AWC Tips Forum.
Advanced Member Search — We've made it even easier for members to find other members on your network. In addition to searching by name,
Advanced Member Search enables searches based on
multiple criteria including
location, gender or any other profile question.
That's a GREAT new feature! This means that appraisers, and more importantly clients, will be able to use the Appraiser's Water Cooler when trying to locate an appraiser in a particular state or town.
Extend Your Existing Social Newtorks: The Appraiser's Water Cooler makes it SIMPLE to forward articles to your Facebook and Twitter (and others) accounts by using
Share This Page.
You'll find the Share This Page link at the bottom of every post:

Of course you'll want to have already set-up a Facebook or Twitter account before actually trying to forward an article. Here's an example of a forwarded "Water Cooler" article to my Appraisal Scoop Twitter account . . .
