I was especially encouraged by Dave Loving's story about how they took on the State Legislature and convinced Gray Davis to veto SB-66, a bill that would have allowed CAR to control the OREA back in the early 2000's.

I also thought it was great that Liz Seaters attended, Glen's wife came and that we had quite a few newbies today too.

It was a great place to be today. Heard the history of how TECAF came into being and the journey it has taken. For us "newbies" it was great to see the foundation of the organization, hear the old war stories etc. Even though we are going through hard times, there is a future for all of us. Let's hang together, support each other, give great education and let our legislatures know how we can support the general public with excellent appraisal reports and businesses! Have a super day!

It's a great tribe! You all are welcome and the information and networking are very valuable!

Vicki announced January's REAA meeting with be our MLS folks answering questions on how best to access our data and including better use and access for the upcoming 1004 addendum. Let Tina, Bill or one of the boardmembers know what your questions or input is.

How cool is this! We have Don Machholz's template and information and now the MLS folks too. Shout out a big Thank you to Vicki Keeler and the board for bringing us these fantastic opportunities!

I am super excited! I like to work hard...so this will be a good thing :) REAA is incredibly valuable to appraisers.
Associating with your peers, learning current appraisals methods, great C.E. classes, staying up to speed with the political climate, and just plain old fun! So...let's rock!

Hi Bill! Great to have the best political activist around here. I think we all need to pull out our contacts and email them to join this group. The chatter will get others interested in the great resources we have - like you.

Thanks for starting the REAA Group, Cynthia. Another avenue to share our experiences, voice our opinions, ask questions/get answers and let the appraiser population know about REAA. Is there a convenient way to let others know about our group?

Mark - I just pulled the owlmail picture from your newsletter until someone came up with a picture or logo they want to use.

REAA rocks! Great meeting last night in Sacramento with OREA. They gave an insightful overview of the licensing activity in California - licensed appraisers numbers are dropping, the move is to upgrade, and OREA applauds the educational efforts of the Real Estate Appraisers Association. Thanks to Bob Clark and staff.
