Our office did a report for a lender through an appraisal management company. The lender called us directly to request an additional comparable sale per underwriter request. I told her that according to HVCC she needed to submit the request through the original appraisal management company. She said she does all her revisions direct with the appraiser and the appraisers do the requested revisions without submitting back through the management company. Is she and the other appraiser in error? Shouldn't the revisions follow the HVCC protocol?
