I recevied this question below last Friday:
"First, are you using Web Maps? Second, I am completing a Review Appraisal and need to make a second Comparable Sales Map for the five comps use in the original appraisal. First map is for four new comps used by me. Second map will be for the 5 comps used in the original report. Is there a way to manually place the original 5 comps in Web Maps and place it in the General Map page within the report?
My answer is below with attachments:
Yes, I use the SFREP maps.
See the "New Comp Map" image and pdf.
IF the review form you're using allows for 9 comps, then you could use Comps 1-4 for the original comps and "color" all of them green or some other color and label them "Original Comp 1", "Original Comp 2", etc... Then For Your 5 Added Comps, use a different color for all of them and label "Revised Comp 1", etc. When finished, just save the map into your report OR click File, Save Image as and you'll get a map like the map attached and insert it where needed.
IF the review form doesn't allow you to add a total of 9 comps, what I would do is have a file like 0906009a for the first four comps and 0906009b for your 5 comps, make the proper pdfs of your revised grid and your map and insert those into your review pdf.
One other thing. Say you're updating a report you did 4 years ago. It's on an old form, but the sketch and plat map and other pertinent images are in that old appraisal. Just pull up that up appraisal (open it) and go to your C: and click on "Trapriv". This will pull up all of the images in that old report for you to highlight and copy and paste into your workfile folder on your desktop (see bills app insertion pages 2009 folders and bills workfile folder of Greenlea in App Insertion Pages 2009). For the 7984 Greenlea I did this exact thing and copied and pasted my sketch, etc from my 2004 2055 into my newer 1004. I have my "Trapriv" as a desktop shortcut because I use it so often.
