The only appraisers who are busy are scabs working for cut rate fees. Our business is down 60% or more since May 1st, but I refuse to work for half my original fees. I got my appraisal license in 1997 and I have never seen it this slow.
But I think we should all collectively start discussing how we just got sandbagged. No one really cares about the appraisers across the US, because we represent such a small profession. And none of us made a big fuss over HVCC, it is our own fault...
You might reconsider calling yourself an AMC, several states have pending legislation in the works to regulate the AMC industry. In NC for instance when pending AMC draft regulation gets passed it will cost $5000 to reigster in the state of NC to ...
