You obviously have a warped sense of reality.

The commissioned sales people I work with have been trained by me to do their own comp checks online with the Title Company, and Sales Comps on the MLS so they know if there are valid Comps to use before they order an appraisal, and they do this while talking with the clients. I do not do Comp checks. I have never been threaten because their deals do not go through, I explain to them that in reality I just saved his client the $30,000 extra that he would have paid for the property if I had not appraised it. I have never bought donuts for anyone unless I needed to make sure they get Type II Diabetes. Also, no Xmas gifts either for or from my clients, just email that say Happy Holidays.

It is short-sighted people like you who think they know it all and have an exclusive hold on sales data and the appraisal process that has led us down the road of being pimped out by greedy AMC's who I used to compete with, (happily) but now because of a back-room deal, with crooked politicians, who used to run HUD, have a monopoly on my clients, and want to sell me back my clients at half price, while the AMC/Lender keeps the rest.

One more thing, is it just me, or are all of the stories that have come out about AMC's pressuring appraisers to change value (and the lawsuits) are just a bunch of made up stories? Oh, and let us not forget how many AMC owners are Appraisers who have had their State Licenses yanked. Yes, it was a lawsuit against an AMC and WaMu for pressuring appraisers that started HVCC. Please see the attached graphic.

I would call you a moron BrandyTime, but I think that would be a step up for you!!!

Get a clue, you are being raped and don't even know it. Have another drink of Brandy. First American has part ownership in all the major AMC's and you don't think something stinks?

The HVCC is a ''Restriction of Trade Issue''..my trade. This is not communist China. Some AMC's are good...some pay squat...this totally sucks. Brandytime...get a backbone.
