Look up Harrison's book, "Houses", first published in 1973 but has been updated over the years. He uses FHA's MPS as a guide. It says the two car minimum size is 18' 4' wide and 20' in depth. The minimum for the 1 car is 10' x 20'. I agree about y...

Thank you Brian, I have a big fear that as technology advances and our appraisal software gets more bundled, the software companies will begin charging appraisers for programs that are already free, or worse yet, for programs we're already paying ...

I'm curious what Iphone Apps other appraisers are using, both the free ones and the paid ones. There are almost too many choices. Google maps, compass, voice memos, GPS, the navigation choices are endless.

I read the entire thing again. This is absolute BS, it's an advertisement for LSI and Trice. The bottom of the barrel barrel bows down to this crowd.

I read this again and am convinced it has to a practical joke. All the compliments for Trice, Buzz, LSI and PCV Murc? I read last week that in some areas of California LSI was down to 125-150 for a URAR. I wonder if they people who do work for the...

I can't imagine anything more frightening than being in a building with the companies that are attempting to establish a national URAR fee of $200. I hope they paid all expenses.

I have to conclude that it’s subjective since it all depends on the vehicles; a Ford Excursion and a Smart Car certainly have a different width. I searched and was unable to find any national standard for a definition, I even ventured over to the ...

Interesting, in California where I live many of the older neighborhoods have 18 wide garages which are 2 car garages. I have never seen "minimum requirement" . If it has a 2 car garage door it is a 2 car garage (unless it is double deep and become...

Just completed an assignment with a 16x16 garage and witnissed a Range Rover Sport and a Toyota Prius parked in the garage. I called it a 2 car garage and made appropriate adjustments in the grid. Did I make a mistake?

I usually never worry, but I have an assignment with an attached garage that is 19.5 feet wide and 27 feet deep. It's been years since I've seen a clear definition, I think the minimum is 21 feet wide to be considered a 2 car garage. Naturally man...

It does sound odd. Was there no cost approach developed at all?

All due respect? Tortured English? How arrogant can anyone be? This is an internet appraisal chatroom, not a forum for frustrated English teachers. Mr. Calvelos's message was clear and to the point and for online communication that is all that mat...
